Wood-Mizer Celebrates 25 Years in Europe

Wood-Mizer Celebrates 25 Years in Europe
14.07.2015

More than 30 years ago, Wood-Mizer began in an Indianapolis garage with the idea of a new method of sawmilling that could more efficiently cut logs into timber. In 1990, a Polish entrepreneur introduced the product to Europe and Wood-Mizer Industries was established in Kolo, Poland in order to serve the timber industry throughout Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Wood-Mizer’s first basic sawmills have grown into highly engineered professional and industrial mills capable of cutting any wood on any continent. Today, more than 60,000 Wood-Mizer sawmills operate worldwide. As well as traditional timber supply companies, a large number of customers are small businesses who support their families by producing sustainable and locally grown timber. Farmers, woodworkers, and artisans are able to cut timber for their own special needs, actively growing their local economies and creating jobs.

Wood-Mizer Industries has experienced steady growth since its inception. In the last 8 years, manufacturing and production space has more than doubled to a total of 10,170 square metres. With branch offices on five continents and more than 100 authorised distributors worldwide, Wood-Mizer is committed to customer success around the globe.
